Title Research and Development of National Measurement Standards and Precision Measurement Technology of Physical Quantities
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience The Research Institute for Engineering Measurement of the National Metrology Institute of Japan welcomes applications from researchers who will be engaged in research and development of precision measurement techniques for physical quantities such as length and dimensional measurement, applied optical measurement, fluid measurement, and physical properties measurement, as well as advanced application techniques based on these measurement techniques, and development of national measurement standards. Researchers with knowledge and experimental experience in applied physics, applied optics, precision engineering, mechanical engineering, fluid engineering, control engineering, information engineering, process engineering, etc. are eligible. We also welcome applications from those who do not hold a doctoral degree but are willing to apply their practical experience in industry to the social implementation of research results and the maintenance, management, and dissemination of national measurement standards.

Title Research and Development on Accurate Measurement of Physical Quantities as well as their Applications
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience We are currently looking for scientists to join the Research Institute for Physical Measurement at NMIJ to work on projects related to high-accuracy measurement technologies in the fields of optical frequency measurement, electromagnetic measurement, non-contact thermometry, photon measurement and their applications to develop novel sensing techniques. Title Research and development of precision measurement technology for physical properties, its applications, and measurement standards

Title Research and development of advanced measurement and non-destructive testing technologies using photons and quantum beams for advanced materials in infrastructure
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience R&D in accelerator science and technology including advanced measurements using photons and quantum beams (X-ray, neutron, electron, positron, etc.).
