Title Development of standard measurement techniques for proper management of polymers containing fluorine in products and materials
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience Polymers containing fluorine are used in a wide range of fields to produce highly functional products and materials. However, there are many unclear points not only the structure, but also the content and safety of the polymers: thus, it should be necessary to elucidate the current status. To meet these demands and ensure the management of polymers containing fluorine, it is important to develop the measurement techniques that make both usage of chromatography after oxidation-reduction reactions and of methods for evaluating the total fluorine. Therefore, we will develop standard measurement techniques that contribute to the proper management of polymers containing fluorine in products and materials. In parallel, we will also conduct a R&D with a view to developing reference materials that are applicable to versatile measurement techniques. We welcome those who do not have a doctoral degree but who are motivated to utilize their practical experience at a company for the social implementation of AIST's R&D.
