Applicants select research subjects related to research conducted in AIST's each research department. In addition to the originality and novelty of research subject setting as well as his/her research results, a researcher with excellent research skill and expertise on foreseeing the impact of research results and creativity are recruited. |

Title |
Research on the Development and Application of Methods for the Inventory Database AIST-IDEA |
| Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience |
We recruit individuals who can promote research and development of inventory databases (AIST-IDEA) for life cycle assessment (LCA). Research activities include process data collection, inventory data compilation, and database management, as well as overseas expansion and corporate collaboration. In practice, the activities include data compilation based on overseas statistics. Modeling is performed using chemical process simulators. The focus is on Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and South Korea. Interviews are conducted with corporate and industry representatives. Collaboration with research institutions in these countries is carried out to establish the regionalized edition of AIST-IDEA. Applicants should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: environmental science, chemical engineering, resource engineering, computational science, process engineering, life cycle engineering, social science, or other related areas. Those who hold a doctoral degree and are motivated to promote social implementation are welcome. |
