On June 25, 2025, Global Research and Development Center for Business by Quantum-AI technology (G-QuAT), a division of National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) signed a Basic Cooperation Framework (hereinafter referred to as “this framework”) with NVIDIA Corporation for the industrialization of quantum and AI hybrid computing technologies.

G-QuAT is constructing a quantum - classical hybrid computing infrastructure called “ABCI-Q,” which includes a GPU supercomputer (System H) equipped with 2,020 NVIDIA H100 GPUs.

Based on this framework, the two parties will jointly promote the following initiatives.

• Software development to realize an optimal computing environment for ABCI-Q
• Research and development of algorithms that hybrid classical computing technologies such as AI with quantum technology
• Creation of use cases in various industrial fields
• Development of human resources who will lead the industrialization of quantum technology globally

Through this collaboration, we will strengthen our partnership and further promote our efforts to accelerate the commercialization of quantum computers.
