AIST: FREA Topics

The research collaboration between FREA and CSIRO, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation in Australia, was introduced at the 4^th Renewable Energy Industry Fair: “REIF Fukushima 2015”.

Two researchers from CSIRO visited Japan. There was a lively exchange of views, including those about the challenges facing renewable energy research.

There was a focus on opportunities for collaboration between CSIRO and FREA at the FREA booth. This includes work in the areas of solar energy research, grid integration and power to gas.
It was confirmed that significant potential to collaborate exists and that the two organizations will facilitate researcher exchange to deepen cooperation.
