Report on the exhibit at the 8th Fukushima Renewable Energy Industry Fair (REIF Fukushima 2019) held October 30th (Wednesday) – 31st (Thursday)
FREA participated in the 8th Fukushima Renewable Energy Industry Fair (REIF Fukushima 2019) on October 30th (Wednesday) and 31st (Thursday) at Big Palette Fukushima (Koriyama City).

We presented the latest results on core elemental technologies as well as system integration technology aimed at large-scale introduction of renewable energy; for example, energy networks, hydrogen carriers and storage, hydrogen and thermal systems, wind energy, solar photovoltaic technology, geothermal power and ground source heat pump. In addition, we exhibited the commercialized models and products developed through the Revitalization Program in Disaster Areas in Tohoku. Over 240 people visited our booth during the two-day period.

On each day, a tour to FREA was held as an event of REIF Fukushima 2019, and more than 40 people toured the research facilities of FREA.

On October 31st, activities of the Renewable Energy Research Center were presented at a REIF seminar, titled "Fukushima Renewable Energy Institute, AIST Seminar", upon joint research on hydrogen, and the development of edge devices for widespread use of renewable energy, over 100 people attended at the seminar.

According to an announcement by the event organizers, a total of 6,858 people visited the event during the two days, making the event successful.
