FREA exhibited at the 11th Renewable Energy 2016 Exhibition
FREA participated in the 11th Renewable Energy 2016 Exhibition (RE2016) held at Pacifico Yokohama from June 29 to July 1, 2016. FREA made an exhibition as well as organized AIST-FREA Session on July 1, the last day of the exhibition.
・At the exhibition booth, a joint exhibition with the local governments of Fukushima Prefecture and Koriyama City, as well as with 6 companies in Fukushima Prefecture, was put on display.
・AIST introduced approaches on research and development related to renewable energy conducted by FREA, Research Center for Photovoltaics, and Research Institute for Energy Conservation, and also exhibited and introduced the Seeds Support Program and the Human Resources Cultivation Project. At the presentation corner inside the booth, mini presentations introducing the research activities of graduate students fostered and guided by AIST, and approaches toward renewable energy by joint exhibitors, were given for a large number of visitors. Over the 3-day period, more than 1,000 people visited our booth.
・At the AIST-FREA Session, the latest research results were reported by the Renewable Energy Research Center, Research Center for Photovoltaics, and Research Institute for Energy Conservation to an audience of approximately 180 people.
・According to the organizer’s report, the total number of the visitors to the Exhibition was 25,123, and the Exhibition ended successfully.
